Julie Anton
Entertainment Coordinator
Julie Anton is
a Senior Entrepreneurship and Leadership major from Arlington,
Texas. She became involved with Spike for Charity after
participating her freshman year as a brother on Delta Sigma Pi's Team
Thunander and Lighting. Julie has played volleyball since the third
grade, and enjoys encouraging others to get out there and have fun for a
variety of good causes. She has been Director of FUNdraising and
Photography, Director of Entertainment, and this year is the Coordinator
of Entertainment. Other than Spike for Charity, she works at The Galley
as Director of Human Resources, is Service Chair for Epsilon Nu Tau, and is an
active member in the Dayton Community. She looks forward to helping
everyone have even more fun this year by generating a great turn out for
entertainment.
Derek DiSabato
Tournament Coordinator
Derek is a Senior from
Columbus, Ohio, studying Biology and Psychology. He is an avid sports fan, following the
Dayton Flyers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Cincinnati
Reds. This is his fourth year involved
with Spike, and second on the committee.
He is an active brother of the service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega,
serving as the Sergeant-At-Arms. He is
excited to be helping run Spike again this year, and is looking forward to
another successful event.
Bill Ruffner
Professional Relations Coordinator
Bill Ruffner is currently a
Senior Operations Management major from Pataskala, Ohio (Columbus area).
He absolutely loves music, which is his reason for being a brother of Phi Mu
Alpha Sinfonia, UD’s music fraternity. Along with PMA, Bill has been a
trombone player for 10 years and is currently a member of the Flyer Pep Band,
the Pride of Dayton Marching Band, and the University Jazz Band. In his
spare time, he enjoys watching football and hanging out with his friends.
Bill is very excited to lead Spike committee this year and hopes to help
continue the event’s success.
Meghan Gregus
Director of Entertainment
Meghan is a currently a
Sophomore Mathematics and Secondary Education Major from Crystal Lake, IL, a
suburb of Chicago. She has a true passion for the game of volleyball and
is an UD Intramural Referee for both volleyball and basketball. She loves
everyday that she gets to spend here at UD because of all the great people that
she has met and has yet to meet. Meghan is currently a member of Alpha
Phi Omega, a service fraternity, with whom she participated in Spike last year
. This semester she is a pledge for Epsilon Delta Upsilon, where she is
meeting lots of other education and sports science majors, and having a
blast! Meghan thinks that Spike for Charity is a fun way to unite all
professional fraternities on campus and raise money for a good cause.
Courtney Monaco
Co-Director of Entertainment
Courtney is a Sophomore
Marketing major, with a minor in Psychology, from Oak Park, IL. While
looking to get involved on UD's campus she has enjoyed many events put on by
CAB and attending sporting events, especially basketball games! She
played in Spike for Charity as a freshman and was eager to get involved with
the planning of the event. She is a member of Delta Sigma Pi and is the
VP Special Events. As an employee of The Galley she has the position of
associate and HR assistant. As a member of sports teams her
entire life she has joined Dayton's Club Softball team and plays in both
the fall and spring season. She is extremely excited to be a
part of this event and see it grow!
Monica Arcaro
Director of Graphic Design and Photography
Monica is a sophomore
Marketing major with a minor in Photography from Chicago, Illinois. She is a
Chicago Cubs fan in addition to the Dayton Flyers, involved with the exec board
of Delta Sigma Pi and the club swim team on campus. She always carries a camera
around to take pictures, and will provide you with every angle of this year’s
upcoming events. Monica is very excited to see this tournament’s success and
can’t wait to make this the best year yet!
Kayla Jaroch
Director of Public Relations
Kayla Jaroch is Junior at the
University of Dayton with a major Public Relations minors in Spanish and
Marketing. She is originally from Libertyville, Illinois and prides herself on
being a die hard Chicago sports fan. She became involved with Spike For Charity
two years ago after playing as a brother on Phi Beta Chi’s team. Kayla has
taken advantage other many other opportunities on UD’s campus such as Relay For
Life, Christmas on Campus, Dance Marathon, and is currently Executive Rush
Chair for Phi Beta Chi, the professional communication fraternity. She is
extremely thrilled to be part of the Spike Committee this year and hopes to
make it the most successful tournament thus far!
Katie Robbins
Director of Finance
Katie Robbins is a Sophomore
at the University of Dayton and is majoring in Management Information Systems
and Marketing originally from Fredonia, NY. She loves summer and all the fun under
the sun that comes with it. She is a huge Yankees fan and will never let you
forget it and is very close with her family and friends. She is also a brother
of Delta Sigma Pi and is employed by Flyer Enterprises which is just the tip of
what she is involved in around the Dayton community. She played on a team in
the tournament last year and it only furthered her passion for this event and
all that it entails. She looks forward to see this tournament grow and to see
it grow to its fullest potential in the coming years.
Jackie Dorsey
Director of Marketing and Secretary
Jackie is originally from
Uniontown, OH and is double major in Marketing and Leadership. She is
currently a Senior at UD. She has taken advantage of a variety of
opportunities to get involved on campus to further her personal and professional
development. These activities include Christmas on Campus, National
Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the P&G Marketing
Challenge. Jackie is a member of the professional business
fraternity on campus, Delta Sigma Pi. Also, she currently holds an
executive position for the student run business on campus, Flyer
Enterprises. She is very excited to plan another successful Spike for
Charity!
Elizabeth Stoiber
Co-Director of Marketing
Elizabeth is a sophomore
Operations Management and Entrepreneurship major from Toledo, OH. Along
with serving as Spike’s Co-Director of Marketing she is also on UD’s Dance
Marathon executive committee. She is also involved with the
Entrepreneurship sophomore experience, and is currently a pledge for Epsilon Nu
Tau, the nation’s first Entrepreneurship fraternity. She also has an
internship at Dayton Artificial Limb Clinic while also working at the information
desk in the student union on campus. After playing in Spike last year,
she is thrilled about joining the Spike committee this year! As well, she
hopes to help continue the success of the event on UD’s campus.
Kristin Sapyta
Director of Facilities Management
Kristen Sapyta is a sophomore
from Batavia, Illinois, double majoring in International Studies and Human Rights
with a minor in Business. She is a
diehard Chicago Blackhawks fan, but she loves being here at the University of
Dayton. She is also currently a member with Alpha Phi Omega, the New
Abolitionist Movement, and Amnesty International. This is Kristen’s first year
participating in Spike for Charity. She heard how much fun and how successful
Spike for Charity was last year that she is extremely excited to be part of the
event this year!
Maria Valliant Co-Director of Facilities Management
Maria is a Sophomore
Marketing Major from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She has taken advantage of
the many opportunities to become involved on UD’s campus. She
participates in Marketing Club, Alpha Phi Omega, Junior Achievers, Christmas on
Campus, and Relay for Life. She is also a pledge for Pi Beta Phi this
semester. Maria is currently working as an intramurals referee and has a
Sports Marketing Internship with UD Athletics. She cannot wait for
another successful Spike for Charity!
